Terms that describe the product we have today.
These operational terms explain the boundaries of the current SkillOS application. They are a transparent product notice, not a substitute for counsel-reviewed legal terms for a production service.
Responsible use
The person using a result owns the decision.
Review before relying
SkillOS can organize expertise, retrieve evidence, and help draft work. It does not replace the judgment, review, authority, or professional obligations of the person using it.
Treat evidence as a starting point
Research-backed responses can be incomplete, time-sensitive, or wrong. Verify cited material in its original context, and obtain qualified review for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-impact decisions.
Use only authorized data and access
Do not provide credentials, confidential material, or third-party personal data unless you are authorized to do so and have an appropriate retention and provider-review process.
Current feature boundaries
No hidden promise of execution or payment.
Features are available only when their required configuration and providers are present. If SkillOS cannot retrieve supporting evidence, it should return an unavailable state rather than manufacture an answer.
Workflow drafts
Saving a workflow does not make it externally active. Execution requires a separately configured and verified worker environment, including its credentials and approvals.
Billing
Checkout and subscription changes remain unavailable unless an operator explicitly enables billing and completes its payment-provider configuration.
External providers
Research, transcription, sign-in, and connectors depend on their configured providers. Their availability and their own terms and privacy practices also apply.
Open-source material
License terms travel with the material.
The standard, skill registry, and runtime are licensed under Apache 2.0; the web platform is licensed under BSL 1.1. Check the license notice on the specific skill, source file, or contribution you use, preserve required notices, and do not submit material that infringes another party's rights.
